Becoming Catholic

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

Adults undergo the process of the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) in order to become members

of the Roman Catholic Church. Ordinarily the classes will begin in July of each year and the candidates will

be initiated during Easter of the following year - typically a ten month journey.

These are the steps to enroll for the RCIA:

  • Check the time and date of the RCIA classes.
  • Request the RCIA form (according to language group) from the Parish Office.
  • Complete the form and attach the required documents.
  • Hand in the completed form with necessary documents to the Parish Office or
to the RCIA instructor during the first day of class.

Those who wish to join the RCIA after the classes have already started (in July) will have to make an

appointment to speak with a priest of the parish to see if special arrangements can be made for them.

Appointments can be made by contacting the parish office at 082-423424.

SESSIONS FOR THE NEW R.C.I.A. INTAKE (please check church notice for latest schedule)

Registration forms are available from the Parish Office. Please encourage your friends & relatives who desire to become a Catholic or just wish to find out more about the Catholic faith to attend any of the sessions.
