LIFE DIRECTION WEEKEND 2024 with the theme ‘What do you want me to do for you?’ (Mark 10:51) will be organised from 24 to 26 May 2024 at the Gethsemane Pilgrimage Centre, Bunan for participants who are interested to know more about the priesthood or religious life. Please sign up with your respective Parish Priest before Monday, 13 May 2024. Registration fee is RM50 per head.

 

Below are some critieria for interested participants:

-Male or female aged 18 years and above

-Single & never married

-School leaver or young working adult

-Has received the Sacrament of Baptism and Confirmation

-Committed Christian and willing to explore and live up God's calling

MASS OFFERING (MO) intentions will be offered by our priests privately on a daily basis except on Sunday. Any request for a mass to be said for your prayer intention on a ‘specified’ date must be submitted to the Parish Office at least one week in advance. Otherwise, your prayer intentions will be offered up at any time (at the discretion of our priests).

 

Intentions for Combined Requiem Mass (CRM) in May will be offered on Friday, 24 May 2024. Please send in your CRM form with proof of payment by Thursday, 23 May 2024 before 12 noon.

 

[Note: The stipend (money) given by the Christian faithful for a Mass to be offered for a particular intention is not a fee but an expression of our gratitude to God and our contribution to the Church. Official receipts will be issued by the Parish Office accordingly.]

GAWAI THANKSGIVING MASS will be celebrated in the Cathedral on Friday, 24 May 2024 at 8 pm. All are welcome!

 

Note: In view of the Gawai Mass, the 5:30pm daily Mass at the Weekday Chapel and the 7:30 pm Holy Hour at the Carmelite Chapel will be cancelled on 24 May 2024.

ONLINE MARRIAGE PREPARATION COURSES (for parishioners from Kuching Archdiocese only) will be conducted on 2 consecutive weekends on 8, 9 & 15, 16 June 2024 in English and on 22, 23 & 29, 30 June 2024 in Mandarin. Couples planning to get married are to attend this course 6 months (preferably more than 6 months) before their intended Church wedding. Proficiency in English or Mandarin is a prerequisite to register for these online courses conducted via Zoom. The registration fee is RM60 per couple (including one set of coursebook). Registration is open from 6 till 24 May 2024 OR when we reach the maximum capacity for each session (whichever comes first).
